Donations to our Back to the Bays Initiative ensure that volunteer opportunities, special events, informative public workshops and other ways to connect people to helping the marine environment are available throughout the year.

Back to the Bays is an Initiative of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County, a registered 501(c)(3). Our EIN is 11-6081424 and contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. An official acknowledgement letter will be issued upon receiving your contribution. Sponsor Youth Education
At CCE Marine Program, we aims to reach as many communities as possible — delivering interactive, life-changing marine science programs to libraries and classrooms throughout Long Island. Still, there are communities that remain underserved due to the costs of programming. By sponsoring a youth education program, your entire donation will be used to provide a classroom visit, classroom tank, or field trip to children who otherwise, may go without these inspiring opportunities.
$250 Funds a hands-on Classroom Program
$500 Funds a "Reef Raiser" Classroom Oyster Tank
$1,500 Funds a grade-wide Field Trip to one of our facilities
